Kitchener Naturopath shares recipe for Perfect Green Juice

Perfect Green Juice

This is a favourite morning youth elixir. Serves 2.

You’ll need a cold-press or conventional juicer and a fine mesh sieve.

Ingredients

3 celery stalks

1 Lebanese cucumber

2 stems of kale

¼ fennel bulb

1 lemon, peeled

1 green apple

½ inch slice of ginger

Preparation

Put all ingredients through your juicer.

Drink immediately but sip slowly!

Notes: 

This juice is an excellent source of easily digestible alkaline minerals, such as potassium, which is particularly helpful when cleansing.

This juice recipe works well with the addition of parsley and cilantro.  Be generous and juice in either of these herbs by the handful.

Be sure to get your celery organic, if nothing else, as conventional celery is renowned for being heavily laden with chemical residues.
